Accounting Administrator
Feeding Medina County is a 501(c)(3) that focuses on addressing the issue of hunger and food insecurity in a number of ways. Major efforts are directed at serving the most vulnerable of our population, children and elderly. We serve to fill the gap of reducing hunger across all of Medina County, making us the major provider of addressing food insecurity countywide.
We’re currently seeking a part-time Accounting Administrator ready to assist with accounting, data entry, donor and product tracking.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
• Maintain accounts payable and receivables reports and spreadsheets
• Track various forms of data, including donors, donations, grants, and distributions
• Work with bookkeeping to provide monthly reports on food poundage and inventory
• Deposit checks and donations
• Process invoices and other payment requests such as monthly bills
• Monitor ticket sales and other accounting functions for event planning
• Perform filing, copying and other office functions
• Participate in strategy meetings and assists in special projects
• Share front desk and general office function responsibilities, including but not limited to answering phones, greeting guests, sorting mail, donation pick-ups and food distributions
• Assist organization and Executive Director in other areas as needed for the success of the organization
Flexible Work Hours: 10-20 hours a week
Seeking Candidates With:
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent is required, an associate’s degree is a plus
• 2-3 years of related experience
• Proficient computer skills in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, Word and Email
• Proficiency in professionally communicating with all levels inside and outside of the organization, including in-person, verbal, electronic and written
• Efficient with prioritizing and multi-tasking, including being productive while handling re-directions and interruptions based upon organizational needs
• Possess a high attention to detail
• Ability to remain organized with and keep track of multiple sources of information and data
• Must be flexible
• Possess a strong sense of urgency, follow-through and diligence, including meeting deadlines
• Possess strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
• Ability to show compassion and have a desire to help people who struggle with issues related to low income and poverty
• Ability to keep client information confidential
